One of the fastest rising players in Wisconsin’s extremely talented and deep 2027 class has been Charlie Hoel over the past few months. This has resulted in the 6’10” post of Stanley-Boyd High School and the Wisconsin Playmakers continuing to pick up scholarship offers recently.

Entering this spring, Hoel had just a single division two offer to his name. This came from Northern Michigan which he received in June of last year. In April he then received his first division one offer coming from Northern Illinois. In May he added two more offers both coming from division two programs. These came from Minnesota State Moorhead and then Augustana University. Now into June, he has now received two more offers with these both coming from division one programs. First was from North Dakota State followed by South Dakota State.

When asked if there is anything he likes about the two most recent programs to have offered him in North Dakota State and South Dakota State, Hoel stated “The staff at both schools are hard to beat, very engaged and always checking in on me. Both have facilities that are state of the art that I love.”

So far, Hoel has taken visits to all three of the division one programs to have offered him. “Loved majority of all the visits,” he said about these visits.

In his junior season at Stanley-Boyd, Hoel averaged 20.7 points, 11.2 rebounds 3.1 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game. He shot 62.8% from the field and 35.1% from three. He earned honorable mention all-state honors from the WBCA.
