With so many candidates for this article series, a seventh part was needed.
Blair Fagbemi – 2027 – PG – Full Package
While he has been a skilled lead guard during his high school career, Fagbemi has continued to add to his game. This was clear this spring with an improved scoring ability and playing stronger as well. He has been playing more confident with the ball looking to create for himself on the attack as well as shooting from deep. Throughout the spring with Full Package he has consistently been having double digit scoring games and continued that into June with Benet knocking down a pair of threes in the first few minutes of his first game to start off the Riverside Brookfield Shootout.
Kyle Nazos – 2028 – PG – Mercury Elite
First with Mercury Elite this spring and now with Batavia High School in June, Nazos has continued to have a breakout spring. While he runs the point well, he has also continued to score the ball extremely well. This includes games of 27 points and 20 points at the NY2LA Spring Extravaganza and a 28-point game at the Riverside Brookfield Shootout. Along with his high IQ and playmaking ability with the ball, Nazos has really shined with his outside shooting.
Jayden Przybilla – 2028 – SF – Milwaukee Trail Blazers
It has been a breakout spring for Przybilla, and he still has a ton of upside. At both the NY2LA Sports Invitational and Next Level Invitational tournaments this spring he showed his well-rounded game while consistently making a big impact all while having great positional size at 6’7”. This included scoring 13 points while hitting three threes just in a single half of play in a win at the Next Level Invitational. There are not many players in Wisconsin’s 2028 class with his blend of size, shooting ability, defensive versatility, and well-rounded play.
Grant Smith – 2028 – G/F – Meanstreets
Following a special mention all-state sophomore season with Lyons Township, Smith has only continued to build into the spring. This has included growth in his recruitment. The wing has recently picked up his first division one offer for basketball coming from Toledo. Smith is a highly intriguing player for the next level with his good size on the wings at 6’6” along with his great athleticism, knockdown shooting, and versatile defensive play. Smith also has a few offers for football including one from Kansas State.
Kayden Turner – 2028 – G – Illinois Wolves
Turner has been a highly skilled guard since his middle school days and has only added to his game and physical tools. This includes now having great size in the backcourt standing at 6’5”. His breakout spring has included having a game of 31 points at session two of the UAA as well as getting the Wolves to the semifinals of the NY2LA Swish N’ Dish tournament with a few double-digit scoring games. Turner has developed an incredibly well-rounded offensive game while continuing to be a high-level shooter with good range as well as pulling up in the mid-range.
