It has been a breakout spring for 2028-point guard Silas Cohen of All Wisconsin and De Pere High School (WI). To cap off this growth, Cohen picked up his first division one offer.

Toledo became the first division one program to offer Cohen. “It feels amazing. I’ve been dreaming about playing division one since I was young,” he said about receiving his first offer. As well to the first offer, the point guard has also seen interest from a few other programs as his recruitment starts to build. This includes Iowa State and Marquette.

In his sophomore season at De Pere, Cohen averaged 9.5 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1 steal per game. Since then, he has continued to greatly grow his game over the past couple of months while playing with All Wisconsin. This includes being one of the top point guards at the recent NY2LA Next Level Invitational tournament where he was named a top performer at the 16U level. This spring he also earned 16U first team at the three 3Stripes Gold east sessions two. “My spring with All Wisconsin was great, love my teammates and coach Ivory, they welcomed me with open arms,” Cohen said.

Cohen has a unique blend of tools with both his physical tools and skill set. He has good size standing at 6’3” as well to having tremendous length. He plays well with the ball in his hands running the point but is also a skilled scorer. This includes scoring 20 points in a single half at the NY2LA Next Level Invitational. Cohen is a consistent outside shooter but is at his best as a playmaker on the attack. He is a shifty guard breaking down defenders on the attack, passes it well on the moves, and finishes it very well all around the paint utilizing his length plus being able to finish through contact.

If this breakout play continues from Cohen, look for his recruitment to grow as well.
