In the spring, the recruitment of 2027 Mike Rogers Jr. has continued to grow. He entered this spring already with a couple of division one offers and has added a couple more of them. This is in addition to building interest from a few other schools for the point guard of Homestead High School (WI) and Chapman Basketball Academy.

Prior to this year, Rogers had previously been offered by both La Salle and Milwaukee. Then in April he was offered by Western Illinois. More recently earlier this week, he added his fourth offer coming from Northern Illinois. Some of the other schools showing interest in the point guard include South Dakota State, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, and SIUE.

When asked if there is anything he likes about the newest school to offer him, Northern Illinois, Rogers said “My best friend Trevor Polite being there. I also like the coaching staff.” While he has yet to take any visits, Rogers will be visiting Northern Illinois later this month on the 24th.

In his junior season at Homestead, Rogers averaged 19 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. More recently at the NY2LA Next Level Invitational, he was one of the top players of the tournament. He is one of the top shot makers in all of Wisconsin which helped him have games of 23 and 22 points. As well to his scoring ability, Rogers is also a high IQ point guard that is a true floor general.
