From his play with Oak Creek during his sophomore season and then into the spring grassroots season with Team Herro, Jaquan Turner has started to emerge as one of the top players and recruits in Wisconsin’s 2028 class. With this, the recruitment of the 6’5” wing guard has started to take off.

In his sophomore season at Oak Creek, Turner averaged 16 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. His high level of play has continued throughout the spring including on the EYBL with Team Herro where he has averaged 10.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1 steal. As well, he helped Team Herro win the 16U division of the NY2LA Swish N’ Dish tournament back in April. “My spring with Team Herro was amazing some new faces this year. Everyone is really close we treat each other with respect. We are like a huge family,” Williams said.

With his growth over the past several months, so has the recruitment of Turner. This has included interest from several division one programs including some high major ones. Including in these who have been showing interest in him include Colorado, Purdue, and San Diego.

“I would say my defense really brings all the energy everyone knows about my offensive I just feel like my defense is way better overall, like a De’Aaron Fox,” Turner said to describe his own game. As well to his standout defensive play, the offensive game has continued to greatly grow. This includes showing more of a versatile scoring ability being able to score from all three levels as a more consistent three-point shooter as well as improved ability to create off the dribble. This is all in addition to his extreme explosiveness.

For his upcoming summer, Turner is looking to make it Peach Jam as well as build his recruitment with some offers.
