The great talent was even more impressive on day two of the Next Level Invitational D2 Showcase. Here is a small sample of the days standouts with plenty more coverage coming.

Kartier Calvert – 2029 – F – Team Herro

Even while playing up at the 16U level, Calvert had one of the top scoring performances of the day, Sunday in which he went off for 28 points. The 6’6” forward did much of his scoring from the outside where he caught fire hitting a total of six threes in the game. Calvert also had multiple driving dunks in the game and used his physicality to finish strong in traffic.

Silas Cohen – 2028 – PG – All Wisconsin

Cohen was doing it all in a game Sunday to lead All Wisconsin 16U to a 72-49 win. The lengthy point guard got off to an incredibly hot start in the game scoring the basketball to finish with a game high 23 points but also did plenty more. In the win he drilled four threes but also excelled on the attack both creating for himself and distributing it. He was getting wherever he wanted on the floor and was consistently making plays.

Jamal Pickering – 2026 – G/F – Gxfted Elite

After a slow start, Pickering showed his ability to take over a game during the second half. In just this second half of a game, the unsigned senior wing went off for 19 points while leading his team to a 23-point win in what was once a tight game. He got going with a couple of quick explosive dunks in transition and then started scoring the ball in a variety of ways in the half court. All half he was playing very aggressive looking to score the ball and take over in the win.

Mike Rogers Jr – 2027 – PG – Chapman Basketball Academy

Rogers had a pair of high scoring games to finish off a 4-0 weekend for his CBA team. On Sunday this started with 23 points which was then followed by a 22-point performance. Whether as a playmaking point guard, knocking down shots from the outside, or getting all the way to the rim and finishing, Rogers excelled on Sunday. He is a highly skilled player with the ball in his hands being able to beat defenders in so many ways.

Brady Uelman – 2029 – G – Wisconsin Academy

In a thrilling double overtime game, it was Uelman who played the hero role. In a tied game at 78 all, the guard caught the ball in the corner and proceeded to drill the corner three right over a defender. Uelman did this just a second before the buzzer to give Wisconsin Academy the win and give them a 3-1 record for the tournament.
