There were plenty of college coaches at Homestead on Saturday with all the great talent in the building. Here are a few of the many standouts from day one of the action.

Edward Bullock – 2027 – SG – Team Hali

Bullock had the most clutch performance of the day as part of Team Hali’s 2-0 day. This came during an 11-point performance in their second game. In the final seconds trailing by a point, the lengthy 6’3” two guard hit a contested mid-range jumper off the dribble right before the buzzer to give his team the thrilling win.

Oliver Gradek – 2028 – G – Full Package

Full Package 16U had the most impressive comeback wins of the day and Gradek was a huge reason for this. As part of his team’s double overtime comeback win, the 2028 guard scored 29 points. This included a key three to start off the overtimes. Not only did he drill five threes in the win showing a great looking jumper but also shot it well in the mid-range too.

Nigel Mosley – 2027 – G – MTXE

Mosley had a pair of standout games on Saturday continuing his breakout spring season. This started in a one-point win where he scored 23 points while hitting four threes. After his hot shooting display, he impressed more on the attack in his second game where he scored 14 points just in a tight second half. He has good size and length as a 6’4” guard while showing a good ability to break down defenders, getting all the way to the basket and line often as he was aggressively looking to attack the basket and make plays.

Will Stremlow – 2027 – G – Wisconsin Swing

Stremlow was a big part of the Swing’s pair of wins on day one of this tournament. His day included games of 32 points and 24 points. Not only does he have good size at 6’4” but a versatile scoring ability while being able to create very well for himself. He excelled in their second win with from all three levels. This included strong aggressive drives through contact, step back mid-range jumpers, and hitting threes off the dribble and catch.

Chris Watts – 2028 – PG – Chapman North

Even while playing up at the 17U level as a 2028, Watts had one of the top scoring displays of the tournament. In just the first six minutes of a game, he had already scored 13 points to give Chapman North a commanding lead. In this win, he led the way scoring 24 points. Watts scored it very effectively both creating his own shot as well as maneuvering through traffic to the rim and finishing amongst size.
