Here is a sample of the standouts from the 15U group of the NY2LA Spring Extravaganza.

Mikey Bauman – 2029 – SG – West Michigan Premier

In a tight game, Bauman went for 20 points including some key plays in the final minutes. He is a tough attacking guard that plays strong with the ball being able to play through contact to the basket. He also hit a three in addition to getting to the line very often while drawing fouls on a couple of three-point attempts.

Adrian Czekaj – 2029 – SF – Kessel Heat

Czekak is a tough wing forward with a solid frame to be a highly impactful player with all his energy. This included scoring 17 points in a tight game but did so much more too. He was effective scoring it all around the paint playing big and scoring it through contact. Czekaj can take slower forwards off the dribble as well as backing down smaller ones. He was also highly active on the glass as well as defensively.

Jayden Foster – 2029 – PG – Courts Vision Elite

Foster had one of the top scoring performances of the entire tournament with a 36-point game. In this game, Foster showed his three-level scoring ability. He excels on the attack with his burst of quickness to fly by defenders with his acceleration getting to the basket. He also shot it very well pulling up in the mid-range creating his own shots as well to hitting a couple of threes. Foster also used his quickness on the defensive side to pressure the ball to collect several steals all in this one game.

Messiah Harris – 2029 – PG – Reach Legends

In a tight win, Harris scored 20 points while also being able to distribute it. Harris is a good playmaker with the ball in his hands with tight handle, burst, and good moves. With his play off the dribble, he was often getting all the way to the basket and finished it well there including some and one finishes. Harris also hit a couple of threes in this game including being able to shoot it off the dribble. Harris was one of the more skilled guards at the 15U level.

Sola Kishida – 2029 – PG – Minnesota Magic

Kishisa showed all his scoring tools putting up 12 points in the first half of a game. He is a very shifty guard that is tough to stick with. The guard was scoring it from all three levels while being able to create for himself. He finished it well around the paint doing so through contact for an and one in addition to shooting well off the dribble too. Kishida also plays with great energy defensively whether on the ball or coming up with steals when in help.

Paxton Leisses – 2029 – G – Wisconsin Academy

Leisses is a well-rounded guard with an advanced game helping Wisconsin Academy to a 4-0 tournament record. He played a huge role in a two-point win Saturday while scoring 10 points in just the first half. The guard is also a tough on ball defender who is tough to beat off the dribble and even blocked a shot while on the ball. Leisses scored it well on the attack getting into the paint and finishing inside while also being able to distribute it out too.

Blake Przybylski – 2029 – G – Davis Brothers Elite

Przybylski showed a good scoring ability scoring 10 points in a single half but did so much more. The guard showed a good-looking jumper spotting up from three but also plays well with the ball in his hands. He moves very well with the ball in his hands and can handle plenty of ball pressure. Przybylski finished it strong on the attack inside while also passing it well on the move. Defensively, he is an energetic on ball defender. He is a very skilled guard who knows how to play.

Julian Sternfels – 2029 – G – Courts Vision Elite

Sternfels is a skilled and versatile guard. He shined early in a dominant win scoring 15 points just in the first half. He has good moves on the attack often getting all the way to the basket both finishing as well as getting to the line often in addition to hitting a three in this half. He also showed the ability to run the point and be a distributor. Sternfels also plays with good energy defensively while on the ball, forcing a tie up, and forcing turnovers.
