Following the top performers and stock boosters, the ones to watch group is up next. Here are five more players who all excelled this past weekend at the NY2LA Spring Extravaganza.

Dalton Ahlensdorf – 2027 – SF – Racine Truth

Ahlensdorf has continued to improve and show more and more on the court this spring to be a player on college coaches’ radars. He scored 17 points in a game but can do plenty more. This included blocking three shots all in the final two minutes of a tight win. He also showed his growing athleticism in this game with an alley-oop dunk as well as getting up for rebounds as a highly active rebounder. He stands at 6’5” but can play even bigger with his energy and strong frame scoring it effectively around the paint in a variety of ways plus had multiple and one driving plays in a single game.

Parker Mitchell – 2027 – SG – Team Herro National

Mitchell was one of the top shooters of the entire tournament. He hit 13 threes over his four games including five of them in a single game while scoring 21 points. His pure jumper also went into the mid-range hitting pullup jumpers. In another game where he scored 16 points, he also showed his ability to score it getting all the way to the basket. Additionally, Mitchell plays with good energy both hitting the glass as well as defensively.

Preston Parmentier – 2027 – SG – REACH Legends

Parmentier continued to show his great shot making ability at the Spring Extravaganza. This was especially true to start a game on Saturday where he caught fire from the outside early on. Not only did he drill four threes in the game but also showed his ability to handle the ball and create his own shot in the mid-range.

Coby Sykes – 2027 – PG – DistinXion

After a stellar tournament a few weeks ago at the Grassroots showcase, Sykes continued that here. This was especially the case on Sunday where he hit four threes all in the first five minutes of a game. He has a great looking jumper along with good range spotting up from deep. As well to his great shot making ability, Sykes is also a skilled point guard who moves well with the ball in his hands getting into the defense. On the attack he is able to create for others and also finishes it so well around the basket amongst size.

David Udoiwod – 2027 – PG – Mercury Elite

Over the course of the tournament, Udoiwod showed a nice combination of scoring ability as well as point guard play. This included games of 24 points and 23 points helping his team to a 3-1 tournament record. With his quickness and handle, he was often beating defenders off the dribble to make plenty of plays on the attack. Even with his high scoring games, he also showed a good distributing ability while seeing the floor well on the attack and being able to find his teammates around the paint and on the outside.
