There many, many games that could be listed in this article with all the great talent of this weekend’s NY2LA Spring Extravaganza. Though here are a few games that offer some highly intriguing matchups.

17U PAC Elite vs. Ohio Premier

Homestead High School – Ct. 5, 1:00pm

This one features not only a very large matchup in the frontcourt but also plenty of talent in each backcourt as well. The big man matchup will be one to see in 7’0” Nathan Freiheit of Pac Elite going up against 6’11” Elian Arick for Ohio Premier. Freiheit has been a very fast rising big man with the growth of his game while it has also been a big stock boosting spring for Arick who has picked up a few offers. Each also has a good guard duo with Charles Schlict and Alex Ortega versus Jajuan Wharton and Robert Page.

17U D Rice Elite vs. Wisconsin Legends

Homestead High School – Ct. 5, 2:00pm

While each side has good depth on their rosters, all eyes should be on the wing guard matchup in this game. This is 6’5” Jensen LePla of D Rice Elite versus 6’5” Will Krueger of Wisconsin Legends. Each of the two already hold multiple scholarship offers and should be picking up more following this weekend if they continue their high level of play that they both have shown this spring. Krueger is one of the top shooters in Wisconsin’s 2027 class while LePla has an incredibly well-rounded scoring ability.

17U MN Lightning Ellerbusch vs. Jay Academy

Homestead High School – Ct. 2, 7:45pm

Scholarship college coaches will want to have their eyes on this game with some fast rising and under the radar players, including a prominent one on each side. This starts with Chris Retic of Jay Academy. The explosive and skilled shot making 6’6” wing is having a breakout spring. For MN Lightning, it is Nicholas Taylor, a versatile scoring, athletic, and fast rising 6’8” power forward.

17U Wisconsin Dynasty vs. Gxfted Elite Basketball

This game features two wings who have continued to play at a high level for their teams and are under the radar talents. This is KJ Cross of Wisconsin Dynasty and Jamal Pickering of Gxfted Elite.
