It has been a big week both on and off the court for senior Elian Arick of Buckeye Trail High School (OH) and the Premier Chaos. This started with his play at the Grassroots Showcase this past weekend and then resulted in him landing a pair of offers following the tournament.
While playing with the Premier Chaos, Arick was one of the top big men at the Grassroots Showcase tournament to help his team to a 3-1 record. As well to his great impact during the tournament, he also showing even greater upside. He stands out with his great physical tools at 6’11” along with his length in addition to being a mobile big man. Throughout the tournament, he showed his ability to be an elite rim protector. Offensively, not only can he score it inside but also can put the ball on the floor.
Following the tournament, Alrick first picked up an offer from Southeastern Illinois College. Then later this week, he was also offered by Kentucky Christian University. These two new offers are in addition to his previous two offers. These came from Ohio Dominican and Rio Grande. As well, Cal (PA), Campbell, Fairmont State, VMI and Youngstown State have all shown interest in the available senior post.
When asked about a commitment timeline, Arick said that he is open when he is looking to make his college decision. Adding in, “just looking to the best fit.”
