One last article from the 17U level of the Grassroots Showcase in Louisville with several can’t miss prospects.

Donavan Coleman – 2026 – F – Power 5 Brelove

The available senior made a ton of plays helping Power 5 to a tight win Sunday. As well to being 6’7”, Coleman has tremendous length. In the game, he scored 13 points doing so on multiple put backs as he battles on the glass. Coleman also scored it with his ability to attack the basket including a driving dunk. His impactful play extended to the defensive side where with his size he can defend around the paint but is a mobile forward being able to defend out on the perimeter too. This included being highly active in the passing lanes for a few steals in the game.

Blair Fagbemi – 2027 – PG – Full Package

After showing all his playmaking abilities during Swish N’ Dish earlier this month, Fagbemi continued to do the same at the Grassroots Showcase. This included helping Full Package go 3-0 in pool play. In the opening game of the tournament, he made a ton of plays in the second half of the win. This included several assists passing it well both in the half court and in transition in addition to hitting a three, a couple of baskets around the paint, and forcing a pair of turnovers. This is all in addition to his consistent superb point guard play as he is an incredibly shifty and elusive with the ball in his hands.

Montavisus Griffin – 2027 – PG – ALL IN E32

Griffin had one of the top scoring performances of the tournament putting up 26 points in his first game of the tournament in a win. He drilled three threes in the game but also showed his ability to score it effectively from all three levels during the tournament to put up double figures scoring in other games too. Griffin is a shifty guard who plays quick with the ball in his hands. More than just a scorer, Griffin also showed a good distributing ability in other games too passing it well on the move. He was a big piece of getting his team to a 3-1 record in Louisville.

Jack Logsdon – 2027 – G/F – Kentucky Basketball Club

The play of the Western Kentucky commit was a big reason why Kentucky Basketball Club went undefeated at 3-0 in pool play. This included scoring 25 points in a game to open the tournament. Logsdon has good size on the wings at 6’6” along with his shot making ability and versatile game. Not only is it his scoring ability that stands out but also his ability to handle the ball and be a playmaker at 6’6” as well to rebound the ball effectively.

Spencer O’Connell – 2027 – SG – Mercury Elite

While a new name on my radar, O’Connell still had one of the top scoring and shooting performances of the tournament. This was in a game where he scored 34 points while drilling a remarkable seven threes. In another game, O’Connell also scored 17 points. The 6’2” two guard not only has a pure jumper from three but also showed a good all-around offensive skill being able to handle the ball and get into the paint to score it too.

Kohl Ward – 2027 – PG – Tennessee Tigers

In a tight game on Sunday, Ward excelled while scoring 19 points. He is a quick, shifty, and athletic point guard who was often getting deep into the paint and scoring the basketball. With all these tools, he is a highly elusive guard consistently breaking down defenders off the dribble. As well to scoring at the basket, Ward also showed a good mid-range pullup jumper. Following the tournament, he received an offer from Kentucky Christian.

Jujuan Wharton – 2026 – SG – Premier Chaos

Not only did he show his scoring ability which included a 14-point game but was also big on the defensive side of the ball. Wharton proved to be one of the top perimeter defenders of the tournament with his lock down defensive play in a win Sunday. He plays with great defensive intensity and has the size at 6’3” and length to get all over opposing ball handers. Wharton also attacked the glass hard for some put back baskets and shoots it well spotting up from three.
