We cover several more players here who had standout performances at the NY2LA Swish N’ Dish Tournament last weekend but have yet to make it into one of these articles.
Trace Damrow – 2027 – SG – Wisconsin Legends
It’s been a breakout year for Damrow which started with a first team all-conference season with Howards Grove. That continued in Swish N’ Dish with a few standout games as he consistently displayed his versatility and impactful play helping the Legends to 3 wins. As well to having good positional size as a 6’5” wing guard he has a good offensive game which included being a consistent outside shooter but also had some strong takes to the basket. As well to his scoring, Damrow is a well-rounded player as he rebounds very well as a guard plus is a tough on ball defender with his length blocking a few shots in one game while on the ball.
Blair Fagbemi – 2027 – PG – Full Package
Fagbemi was one of the more skilled point guards of the Swish N’ Dish Tournament. He consistently excelled playing on the attack, getting into the defense making plays. He plays very poised and strong with the ball in his hands along with great court vision. Fagbemi is always scanning the floor looking to distribute the ball but also shot it in the mid-range as well as finishing around the paint.
Zion Gibson – 2026 – G/F – Fireworks
Gibson is a versatile and highly impactful 6’4” wing who did a bit of everything in a tight game on Saturday. This included attacking the glass as he rebounded it very well for his size being one of the top rebounders on the floor. The senior also proved to be a tough on ball defender in addition to being active in the passing lanes. Offensively, Gibson scored some strong baskets inside as well to hitting threes too.
Ronald Johnson – 2029 – G – Mac Irvin Fire
Johnson scored in double digits in multiple games for this deep Fire team to get them to the platinum title game where he scored 13 points. He’s an energetic guard with some size at 6’3” plus length and battles on the court to make a lot of plays. Johnson also showed good skills scoring it very effectively going to the basket as well to being able to run the point.
Eli Krueger – 2027 – F/C – Wisconsin Swing
Krueger was a consistent player for the Swing throughout Swish N’ Dish scoring in double figures game after game helping them to the quarterfinals. His low post scoring is evident at 6’9” along with a solid frame and strong post moves scoring on a high percentage of his post touches. Much more than just an interior scorer, Krueger has continued to grow his game. This included his outside shooting ability being able to consistently shoot the three and being a highly skilled passing big man. The junior big man has a few division one offers already.
Blake Lindau – 2029 – G/F – Foundation South
Lindau was one of the top shooters at the 15U level of the tournament. This included hitting five threes in a single game and three threes in three other games too. During the tournament, Lindau had games of 16 points and 15 points. As well to his shooting, Lindau plays with good energy defensively, can handle the ball, and plays hard on the glass. The 6’2” wing was a key piece of getting this Foundation South team all the way to the gold championship game in a 4-2 weekend.
Kendall Meyers – 2027 – G/F – Y&R
The big year continues for Meyers. Following a 4A Illinois state championship with Marist, Meyers had some standout performances at Swish N’ Dish. This included scoring 18 points in a quarterfinals game. He showed his shooting ability in four threes in that one game but also showcased his versatile scoring throughout the tournament. Much more than just a scorer, Meyers is an incredibly versatile and impactful wing at 6’6” with his skill set. He also stood out with ability to rebound the ball well as well as defend multiple positions at a high level.
Domanic Rasberry – 2026 – C – Pro Lane
Rasberry is an intriguing senior with his great size at 6’9” along with showing plenty of upside too in the gold championship weekend. He showed a good ability to score posting up with some nice moves and soft touch. He was a true shot blocker down in the paint but also showed some mobility at his size being able to switch onto the perimeter.
Davion Tate – 2027 – PG – Team Greater Purpose
Tate had multiple big-time performances over the weekend. This included games of 20 points and 17 points. He is a shifty playmaking point guard with handle who showed a good ability to create for himself both getting into the paint but also create his own shot off the dribble. Much more than a scorer, Tate also created well for his teammates looking to distribute it on the attack when he was often collapsing defenses. A skilled and under the radar point guard in Illinois 2027 class.
