Robert Darling – 2028 – PG – Nikia United
Darling is an under the radar guard who made a ton of plays on Saturday helping his team to a two-point win. This was his with his scoring, on ball defensive play, and running the point. He showed a good ability to create for himself as well as shooting. The guard moves well with the ball with his handle and changing speeds and can shoot it off the dribble as well to showing great range hitting a deep three. He also came up in the clutch with his scoring with the game winning driving basket in the final ten seconds of play. With his active defensive play, Darling also had 4 steals in this game.
Kale Graf – 2028 – PG – Wisconsin Legends
Graf is a high energy guard who makes a great impact on the court in a variety of ways. This included his defensive play, scoring, running the point, and energetic plays. Not only did Graf consistently prove to be a tough on ball defender with his energy, but he also took two charges in a single game. His style of play also showed on the glass with aggressive box outs outrebounding larger guards. The point guard also showed his accurate three-point shooting where can quickly get into this shot of the catch.
Joey Kohnen – 2028 – SG – Team Herro
Throughout the tournament Kohnen showed what makes him one of the most skilled and top recruits in Wisconsin’s 2028 class. As well to his high skill level, he also has great size in the backcourt at 6’5”. He was a key piece of Team Herro winning the 16U title. This included scoring 16 points in the semifinals and then 9 points in just the first half of the championship game. He consistently shot the ball well from three, showed his ability to be a primary ball handler, and make plays on the attack. Already as a sophomore, Kohnen holds multiple high major division one offers.
Ben Wittnebel – 2028 – SG – Wisconsin Academy
Wittnebel showed a lot of his tools at Swish N’ Dish that make him a highly intriguing recruit in the 2028 class. As well to being a lengthy and athletic wing guard with great size at 6’6”, Wittnebel has some good offensive tools as well. This includes a high percentage mid-range pullup game that he showed off in his first game of the tournament while also being able to get to the rim to help him have multiple double digit scoring games. Wittnebel also makes an impact with his toughness on the glass, defending multiple positions, and good passing ability.
Timmy West – 2028 – PG – Power 5
West had multiple standout games in Power 5’s 3-1 tournament. The point guard moves extremely well right through heavy traffic breaking down defenders to get to the rim consistently throughout the tournament. He’s an athletic 6’2” point guard that finished it well on the attack including some and one finishes. More than just a scorer, Power also distributed it well on the attack with good vision, passing, and ability to collapse the defense getting deep into the paint.
Noah Young – 2029 – PG – Chicago Demons
Even while playing up a level, Young had multiple standout games helping the Demons take home the 16U gold title. He is a skilled, up-tempo, and elusive playmaker on the attack with his quickness and shiftiness moving so well with the ball but also shoots it well from three. Young finished it well all around the paint but also facilitates it well when on the attack but pushing the ball in transition as a quick decision maker.
