He also has good versatility with his ability to handle the ball and get to the basket and defend multiple positions. Brown is a name for college coaches to know in Illinois’ 2028 class.

Alex Cohen – 2028 – G/F – Full Package

While an under the radar name, Cohen showed plenty of translatable tools to have great upside. The wing has good size at 6’6” with length and mobility. With his emerging tools, Cohen also made a big impact during the tournament. This included showing a smooth jumper spotting up from three, getting to the rim with his long strides, block shots, and defend multiple positions well.

Jeremy Dease – 2029 – SG – Cy-Fair Elite

Even while playing up a level, Dease showed good tools and upside. He stands at 6’3” along with a strong build along with good offensive skills. This included his ability to be a primary ball hander and scoring it from all over the floor. He uses his strength to be an aggressive straight-line driver but also showed his shot making hitting shots off the dribble from both the mid-range and three.

Kayden Harmon – 2028 – F – Power 5

Harmon is a fluid and lengthy 6’8” forward with a ton of upside. More than just his physical tools, the sophomore also showed an emerging skill set. This included being able to make plays off the dribble with a couple dunks on drives to the basket. He has a great blend of talents as he can be a shot blocker while also defend on the perimeter plus be aggressive on the glass rebounding out of area.

Triston Howard – 2028 – PG – Team Ramey

Howard is a true two-way playmaking point guard. He was consistently making plays with his distributing, defensive play, and scoring, helping Team Ramey get to the platinum title game. The point guard plays with great burst to his game to get out in transition as well as flying by defenders. He is always a threat with the ball in his hands as he sees the floor well and looks to distribute it but can also shoot it well off the dribble from the outside.

Ray Rienow – 2028 – SF – Mercury Elite

Rienow showed his offensive tools scoring 13 points in a single half in one of his games. This was with his great shooting ability hitting three threes in just this one half. As well to his shooting, Rienow has some size on the wings at 6’5”. Even while going up against a massive frontcourt of the Illinois Wolves, Rienow still battled tough inside on the glass.

Connor Sellinger – 2028 – G – 24UP

Sellinger showed a good and well-rounded offensive skill set in a tight game Saturday making a ton of plays. This included his ability to run the point, versatile scoring ability, passing, in addition to making plays on the defensive side. The 6’1” guard scored it strong going to the basket including a couple of and one finishes as well to creating for himself in the mid-range and being a good cutter.

Kayden Turner – 2028 – G – Illinois Wolves

Turner started the tournament scoring 18 points and kept on scoring it in the double digits through the rest of the tournament helping the Wolves get to the semifinals. As well to having size in the backcourt at 6’4”, he is a highly skilled scorer who knows how to play. He has a pure jumper from both the outside and pullup mid-range game while also being able to run the point and be a skilled passer.

Jax Urben – 2028 – PG – Wisconsin Legends

Urben showcased his pure jumper in a dominant win for the Legends on Saturday. In the first half alone, the sophomore drilled three threes building a large lead. When he was spotting up from three, Urben was just not missing. As well to his shooting, Urben showed a good ability to run the point with his strong handle and ability to drive to distribute it out.
