With all the talent and depth of the Midwest’s 2027 class we’re now on to part six of this series. Expect some major moves in the recruitment of these five juniors in the coming months.

Jack Broderson – 2027 – SG – Chapman Basketball Academy

Broderson was a key piece in Whitefish Bay winning a state championship this season. In the title game, the junior guard led all scoring 23 points as well as grabbing 10 rebounds. On the season, he averaged 12.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.3 steals. Broderson is a high energy two guard with a very well-rounded skill set. Not only has he shown the ability to step up and lead the way scoring but can also the ultimate glue guy being able to do a bit of everything.

Nathan Freiheit – 2027 – C – PAC Elite

Now standing at 7’0”, Freiheit is a highly intriguing 2027 prospect with great upside. Even with his size, he moves well both running the floor and maneuvering the interior to be a rim protector. As well to having some touch around the basket, he has also shown a good jumper shooting the three.

Brian Kizer – 2027 – SG – The Work Foundation

Kizer should be getting on plenty of college programs radars after a junior season in which he helped Leo High School get all the way to the state semifinals game. This including averaging 16.4 points and 4.2 rebounds per game and earning second team all-state from the IBCA. Kizer is a skilled playmaker off the dribble with a great ability to finish around the paint and mid-range in addition to shooting it well from three.

Kendall Meyers – 2027 – G/F – Young & Reckless

Meyers was a big piece of the Marist team who won that Illinois 4A state championship this season. He is a highly impactful wing with good size at 6’6” and solid build who plays with plenty of energy. The junior has a versatile game with his ability to handle the ball and get to the rim, defend multiple positions effectively, shoot the three, and rebound the ball well. Meyers already holds a couple of division one offers and look for that list to grow during the spring and summer.

Tref Rademaker – 2027 – F/C – Power 5

Following a strong first season with DME Academy Wisconsin, Rademaker continues to be a highly sought-after big man in the 2027 class. Not only does he have tremendous size standing at 6’10” to go along with a solid frame but has continued to see his game grow. This has been highlighted by his athleticism, outside shooting, and overall skill set. Rademaker is a stretch big man who can also play very tough inside on both ends. He already holds multiple division one offers.
