The Indiana high school season wrapped up Saturday with the four class state championships in Indianapolis at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The four games included Mt. Vernon vs. Crown Point at 4A, Cathedral vs. New Haven at 3A, Parke Heritage vs. Westview at 2A, and Barr-Reeve vs. Triton at 1A.

The first game of the day saw Barr-Reeve defeating Triton 50-37. While the game was tight for the majority including being tied at the half, Barr-Reeve ran away with it in the fourth quarter to capture the state title. They were led by sophomore Josh Miller who led them in both scoring and rebounding with 13 and 9 plus Jaylon Graber and Korben Boyd both scored in double figures as well. Julian Swanson led all in the game scoring for Triton with 16 points.

Senior post Isaac Pickel played the hero role to help Parke Heritage win the 2A title 57-56 over Westview. In the final seconds, the Taylor commit scored the game winning basket. Brenden Goins and Treigh Schelsky each led Parke Heritage with 17 points. Westview was led by Hope College commit Kaden Grau with 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Cathedral got a pair of star performances from Julien Smith and Keaton Aldridge to take the 3A title over New Haven, 71-61. After a big run in the third quarter by New Haven to take a lead, the fourth quarter was all Cathedral to win it. Smith led all in the game with 21 points while also adding in 9 rebounds plus Aldridge scored 17 points with 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Cathedral also got a double-double from Owen Peterson with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Tarvar Baskerville led the way for New Haven with 20 points while Jadrien Ezell had 15 points.

The final game of the day saw Purdue commit Luke Ertel turn in one more star performance to lead Mt. Vernon to the 4A title, 52-50 over Crown Point. Ertel had 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists in the game. Mt. Vernon was down 10 at the half but was able to climb back throughout the rest of the game to win the state championship. UIC commit Dikembe Shaw led Crown Point with 24 points and 9 rebounds.
