While the high school season rounds down, there are still some states in action. This includes the Wisconsin state finals and the Indiana semi-states. Here are all the star performances from these over the weekend.
Dooney Johnson was a huge piece of Milwaukee Juneau winning a state title. It started with the Gonzaga commit having 27 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals, and 3 blocks in the semis. Then in the title game win he had 23 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 4 blocks.
Zavier Zens led Wisconsin Lutheran in scoring in both the semifinals and state championship game to complete the perfect 30-0 season and three-peat. In the semis he scored 21 points along with 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. This was followed by 20 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks.
Lamont Hamilton was a big piece of Racine St. Catherine winning the Wisconsin division three state title. In the semis he had 17 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals. The Minnesota football commit turned it up a level in the title matchup scoring 26 points along with 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals.
Reedsville got some star performances leading them to a state title. It started in the semifinals with Ben Prochnow scoring 26 points along with 9 assists. Prochnow also scored 19 points with 8 assists in the title game while Arden Strenn had a massive double-double with 20 points and 14 boards in the championship win.
Colin Julien was a big piece of Whitefish Bay winning the Wisconsin division 2 state title. This was especially the case in the semifinals win where he led them with 21 points plus had 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals. In the title game it was Jack Broderson putting together a star performance with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Slinger’s Jack Kohnen showed why he is one of the top juniors in the entire region with his semifinal’s performance. Kohnen scored 35 points but also added in 10 rebounds, 7 assists, and 5 steals.
Also for Slinger was Bryson Fogle having impressive games. In both the semifinals and title game, the guard had 20 points and 6 rebounds.
Caleb Liggon put together a big performance in a semifinals victory for Madison Memorial. The senior had 20 points while going 4-4 from three plus 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Tyson Labus shined in a semifinals matchup for West Salem scoring a game high 23 points plus adding in 5 rebounds.
The standout season continued to McFarland big man Eli Krueger. The 6’9” junior scored 26 points in a state semis game.
Senior Brady Benish shined for Lake Mills in a semifinals game with 26 points while hitting 8 threes.
Leading the way for Seymour in a semifinals win was their frontcourt duo of Kyler Marks and Isaac Feske who each scored 20 points.
In a state semifinals game, Brennen Hackbarth had a star performance for Sheboygan Lutheran with 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Leading Southwestern into the title game was Aiden Keleher who did it all with 22 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.
Purdue commit Luke Ertel led Mt. Vernon to the state finals with a triple double including 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists.
It was Keaton Aldridge leading Cathedral to the state finals as he scored 29 points in the win over Silver Creek along with 8 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Dane Caldwell did all he could in a semi state game for Silver Creek with 31 points and 15 rebounds.
It has been a big postseason for Austin Schlabach. After scoring 33 points for a regional championship, the junior point guard had 27 points to get Westview to the state finals.
