The Wisconsin division 4 state title game featured Milwaukee Juneau and its star, Gonzaga commit Dooney Johnson taking on the Cinderella story of Cambridge. The first half was tight throughout with multiple lead changes with Cambridge taking a small lead into the break. Milwaukee Juneau was able to grab a lead early in the second half and hang on to it the rest of the way. They won this game 62-54 pulling away in the final minute to capture the gold ball.

Dooney Jonson – 2027 – G – Milwaukee Juneau

The Gonzaga commit turned in another star performance leading his team to the state title victory. He was unstoppable scoring the ball early on with 17 first half points. This included a post-up basket on the first play of the game and swishing jumpers on back-to-back plays a couple of minutes later. Johnson also scored it exceptionally well on the attack. He moves so well through traffic and finding gaps, plus utilizing his long strides. As well, with his 6’5” size and length, he was finishing with ease around the basket right over defenders. He finished with a game high 23 points while also adding in 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 4 blocks.

Evan Harbort – 2028 – G/F – Cambridge

After scoring just 2 points in the first half, Harbort came alive down the stretch with multiple key baskets trying to lead a comeback. He scored 9 points in the second half which included a three from beyond the college line, a back door cut, and a couple of buckets inside coming in the final minutes. Harbort brings some size to Cambridge at 6’4” and strength but still has a versatile skill set. He can handle the ball and passed it well, but also played tough defense inside and came up with some hard-fought rebounds.

Jaden Hardiman – 2026 – SF – Milwaukee Juneau

Hardiman really came alive over the final 5 minutes of play to help secure the state title victory for Juneau. In this stretch of 5 minutes, he scored 13 of his 17 points in the game. This started with an and one put back dunk to put Juneau up 5. The highly explosive 6’5” wing also had three other dunks in this few minutes stretch as well to going 4-4 from the line.

Jett Horton – 2026 – G – Cambridge

Horton stepped up his game greatly on this big stage at the Kohl Center. This included scoring a team high 14 points as well to doing plenty more for Cambridge. In the first 4 minutes of action, it was with his outside shooting, hitting both of his early three-point attempts and hit a trio of threes in the first half. The impact of the skilled and tough 6’1” guard also extended with his passing ability including assisting on multiple back door cuts, playing strong with the ball running the point, and his versatile defensive inside and out.

Takis Tyler – 2026 – PG – Milwaukee Juneau

While Tyler may have only scored 7 points, he still contributed greatly in the victory with both his defensive play and distributing. Not only did he have 4 steals in the game but was also key defensively disrupting ball handlers with his pressure defense, drawing an offensive foul, forcing bad passes, and had multiple deflections and poke outs. He has great quickness as well to being a high energy defender to get all over the ball. His distributing ability was highlighted early on in the game with 3 assists in just the first 5 minutes of action. Tyler was often getting into the paint and showed good passing ability on the move creating for others.
