It did not come easy in this one was as Wisconsin Lutheran and Madison Memorial battled back and forth throughout the first half in a tight matchup. This included Madison Memorial taking a 22-20 lead into the half. He was effective scoring the ball in this game going to the basket, especially on cuts to score 10 points on 4-8 shooting. He was very effective as part of his team’s offense, timely coming off face and curl cuts while changing his speeds. The 6’3” two guard also finished it very effectively around the basket in traffic versus size including over a 6’9” defender on a reverse lay in.

Kager Knueppel – 2027 – G/F – Wisconsin Lutheran

After just scoring 3 points in the first half, Knueppel had some pivotal baskets in the second half run to the title. He also showed his great outside shooting ability going 2-4 from three to finish with 16 points in the win in addition to a game high 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. There are few players who can match all the tools of the junior as not only does he have great size on the wings at 6’9” plus his length but is also highly skilled and mobile. His mobility was shown by effectively defending a guard all game while being so tough to beat off the dribble while using his size to get all over his man.

Knueppel was extremely effective as a playmaker from the high post against the 2-3 zone in this game. He showed all the tools to beat the zone there with his size to see over the defense, attack the basket, hit jumpers from there, and distribute it out. The wing forward showed good vision and quick decision maker to collect 5 assists.

Not only was he shooting it at a high percentage but was doing so with great range hitting a few of his shots from a couple steps beyond the college line.

Zavier Zens – 2026 – SF – Wisconsin Lutheran

While he had limited opportunities in the first half just taking a couple of shots and hitting a pair of threes, Zens got it going in the second half to lead his team to another state championship.
