Over the course of this high school season, Kaleb Colbert had continued to be one of the top players in all of Wisconsin. This has resulted in the senior point guard winning some major awards as well to some real growth in his recruitment.
In his senior season at Golda Meir High School, Colbert averaged 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists per game. He was able to earn player of the year honors in the Milwaukee City Conference blue division. As well, he became the all-time leading scorer at Golda Meir surpassing the previous record of 1,300 points.
Colbert has seen recruitment interest from a varying levels of college programs. Back in October, he received his first offer coming from Milwaukee School of Engineering. With his star senior season, Colbert has continued to see his recruitment build with growing interest. Colbert said that he is getting a lot of interest from junior college programs as well to some division two and low major division one programs.
“Athleticism, court vision, and consistency with my shot” is what Colbert says he can bring to the next level. “I also take pride in having the ball on a string so I can facilitate for my teammates while still being able to score, and I like to push the pace and create opportunities in transition.” Colbert is looking to make his college commitment by the start of April.
