Both Kaukauna and Stevens Point brought their best game in this highly contested regional championship matchup. Kaukauna had the lead for the majority of the game, but Stevens Point was able to keep it close throughout including having it tied deep in the second half behind a star performance from Sivan Dinga. Though, behind the play of Tyler Schwalbach, Andrew Jensen, Josh Carl, Jonah Roehrig, and others, Kaukauna was able to win it 65-58.
Jackson Bouressa – 2027 – PF – Stevens Point
The 6’6” power forward made a big impact on both ends of the floor. He battled tough all game defensively playing very active inside up against the 6’9” Jensen. Bouressa is a physical and high motor defender who had multiple deflections and also dove on the floor for a loose ball. As well to scoring it in the post, the junior also hit a three and can put the ball on the floor.
Sivan Dinga – 2026 – SG – Stevens Point
While Dinga had a solid first half with 8 points, he was stellar throughout the second half with 18 points to finish the game with 26. The senior showed a great ability to shoot the three hitting five of them, doing it at a very high percentage. As well to his shot making in the game, Dinga also moves well with the ball getting to the rim adding in a few baskets on the attack. The athletic 6’3” guard also showed his great defensive ability too. This included a pair of steals in the final two minutes of the game as Dinga was doing everything he could for his team.
Andrew Jensen – 2026 – F/C – Kaukauna
As well to scoring 14 points, Jensen was key with both his defensive play and rebounding. Throughout the game, Jensen controlled the glass with his size at 6’9” in addition to his athleticism aggressively going to each rebound. These tools were also key defensively as a rim protector shutting down the interior blocking three shots in the game as well as deterring drivers all game. While he drew much defensive attention, the DePaul commit also scored it well posting up getting himself good position for multiple dunks as well as scoring on a couple of rolls.
Tyler Schwalbach – 2028 – PG – Kaukauna
Schwalbach was a key piece of the Kaukauna win not only leading them with 19 points but also getting it done with his distributing. The point guard is a smart decision maker with the ball and moves well it getting into the gaps and was consistently making plays. Not only did he score it often getting to the basket but also had three drive and kick out assist for threes in the game. The sophomore also hit a key three himself with just three minutes to play to expand the lead out to 8.
