We’re on to part two of this 2027 series with all the great talent in the regions junior class. It will be a monumental spring for many of the area’s top juniors. Here are five to keep an eye on.
Graysen Becker – 2027 – G – Altoona
In both his recruitment and on the court, Becker has been getting it done over the past few months. His offer list has only continued to grow with multiple scholarship offers including most recently in January from University of Mary as well to holding a division one offer from Cal State Bakersfield. He has put up some big numbers in his junior season as one of the state’s leading scorers with 26.3 points per game while becoming Altoona’s all-time leading scorer but also averaging 4.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists. Becker has been a highly impactful player throughout his high school career who has only continued to progress and has a great combination of well-rounded skill set, explosiveness, and toughness.
Antwoine Mister – 2027 – PG – Oregon Clay
It has been a big several months of basketball for Mister. He was one of the top guards at NY2LA tournaments last summer with HoopTech while averaging 20.8 points, 9 rebounds, 4.3 assists at the Final Chapter tournament and continued that into his junior season. With Oregon Clay, Mister earned all-district and all-conference honors. Mister is such a well-rounded guard with his three-level scoring ability while also being a true point guard. He did receive an offer from Central State back in October but look for his recruitment to really take off this spring with greater scholarship level interest.
Will Stremlow – 2027 – G – Verona
From his play with the Wisconsin Swing last year into his junior season with Verona, it has been a key twelve months for the stock rising guard. After a breakout grassroots season, Stremlow has been one of the top scorers in Wisconsin’s 2027 class while averaging 22 points per game for Verona. He is a skilled scorer both with his outside shooting ability as well to getting all the way to the rim but is also a highly impactful guard including his ability to rebound as a guard. He holds multiple division two offers and should be a popular target for more of them in the future.
Nedas Venckus – 2027 – SG – Lockport
Venckus and his breakout junior season was a major reason why Lockport had a 27-win season in which they won a regional championship. This includes scoring 27 points in a recent game to win the regional semifinals. The junior is a lengthy and athletic 6’3” two guard who is a versatile scorer highlighted by his shot making ability both from three and in the mid-range. Venckus has plenty of translatable tools and should be a popular target with Breakaway this spring.
Mikey White – 2027 – PG – Kenosha Bradford
For college programs looking for a true point guard who is also an elite outside shooter, White is one to look at. There are few players in the regions 2027 class that match this blend of abilities. He earned himself first team all-conference this season while averaging 18 points and 2.9 assists per game. White has great playmaking ability with the ball in his hands with his ability to shoot it off the dribble, vision on the move, and elusiveness. The junior already has been offered by Arkansas Pine Bluff and Eastern Illinois.
