With his standout senior season, Mareon Knott has seen his recruitment continue to build as well to some major accolades on the court. This includes recently adding another offer for the 6’4’” wing forward of Detroit King High School and the Michigan Playmakers.

Right now, in his senior season, Knott is averaging 22 points, 10.5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals per game. This week, he helped Detroit King win the PSL boys’ championship. This is in addition to being awarded Mr. PSL, the top boys basketball player in Detroit.

Macomb Community College became the newest school to offer Knott which happened last week. He has also previously been offered by Alma College and Livingstone College. For his future college program, Knott is searching for “something that feels different and where I know I can develop.” He is unsure of when will commit but said probably before his high school season ends.

Knott is an incredibly impactful and unique player. While he may only stand at 6’4” he can play much bigger with his great strength and aggressive play style. At his height, there are few rebounders as effective as Knott and can effectively defend multiple positions. As well, his perimeter skills have continued to greatly grow over the past year. This has included with his shooting ability in both the mid-range and from three as well to his passing and ability to handle the ball. For a player of his level, Knott is still underrecruited even with the new offer.
