As the regular season winds down, there were plenty of stellar performances over the past week. Here are the noteworthy games around the Midwest.
There were plenty of high scoring marks in the past week and DeZhon Hall topped them all. The senior guard of Crispus Attucks had a career high with 53 points. He also added in 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the win.
While he will be headed to Minnesota for football, Lamont Hamilton has continued to show he’s one of the top senior basketball players in Wisconsin. The guard had one of the top scoring performances of the season with 52 points.
Senior guard Keison Peoples continues to be one of the top scorers in all of Illinois. In this past week he had games of 40 points and then 33 points.
Purdue commit Luke Ertel had a stat stuffing performance with 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 12 assists.
In a conference championship game, senior guard Torey Baskin shined putting up 42 points for Hoffman Estates.
It was another big-time performance by Jakari Smith of Bradley Tech as the senior scored 41 points in a win.
At the Riverton Shootout, junior guard Julian Rice starred in a tight win scoring 43 points.
Milton guard Collin Branch go it all done by scoring 27 points along with 15 rebounds and 5 assists in a win.
Charles Barnes continues to show he’s one of the top available seniors in the Midwest with star performances. Most recently the 6’6” wing of Marist had 36 points while shooting 13-18 from the field and 7-9 from three.
Another appearance this week by Ethan Vahl as the sophomore did it all in a win for Oswego with 21 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals.
Senior guard Hayden Johnson had one of the best shooting performances of the season. The University of St. Francis commit hit nine threes in one game for Northridge.
In his senior night victory for Perspectives, Ian Flowers had himself a double-double with 30 points and 10 rebounds.
Senior guard Sam Pitrof was able to become the all-time leading scorer for Racine Lutheran with 31 points as he passed the 1,656 point mark.
