One of the region’s top available big men in the 2026 class picked up a division two offer this week. This went to Jake Broeske, a 6’10” power forward of Lomira High School and the Wisconsin Playground Club.
Currently in his senior season for Lomira, Broeske is averaging 19.2 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game. With his near double-double averages, he has led Lomira to a 20-1 record currently and they have already clinched a conference championship in the Flyway Conference.
The recent offer for Broeske came from Minnesota State Moorhead. “I really like the coaching staff at MSUM. They have been very supportive and helpful through this process,” Broeske said about his thoughts on Minnesota State Moorhead. The offer for the senior came on a visit this past weekend. “Great,” is how Broeske described his visit. Adding in “I really enjoyed my time there. They also treated my family and I very well over the weekend.”
In addition to Minnesota State Moorhead, Broeske also has a few other division one and two programs in the region currently recruiting him. From the division one level, this includes Evansville and Southern Illinois Edwardsville.
Broeske is looking to make his college commitment in the spring, following the high school season.
