While plenty of seniors from Wisconsin as well around the nation continue to make their college commitments, there is still plenty of talent still available. One of the top available seniors in all of Wisconsin currently is Sam Pitrof.
In his senior season currently for Racine Lutheran, the 6’5” guard is amongst the leading scorers in the state with 24.8 points per game. This is in addition to averaging 10.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.2 assists. When asked about goals to finish his high school career, Pitrof said “plain and simple, win. I want to be raising that gold ball.”
Back in August, Pitrof received his first division one offer coming from Navy. More recently he has since added a pair of division two offers in December. These came from West Virginia State and then Ferris State. He is also receiving interest from a number of other division one and two programs. These include Army, Black Hills State, Brown, Citadel, Colgate, Columbia, Hillsdale, Rockhurst, Southeast Missouri State, UW-Parkside, Vermont, among others.
When asked about a commitment timeline, Pitrof said “Going on a few visits coming up and talking to a few more schools just making sure I find the right fit.” In his future college program, he is looking for “a program where I can impact winning. A coach that trusts me and my game. Let’s me play free and a winning culture. Somewhere I can continue to improve as a player.”
Pitrof played with the Wisconsin Playground Club for grassroots.
