Triple doubles, school records, fifty point games, plenty to read about in this issues of Stars of the Week.
Jakari Smith had one of the top games of the entire season. As well to scoring a staggering 50 points he also hit the game winning, buzzer beating three. He also had 18 rebounds and 6 assists in the win.
Senior Amare Hereford continues to show that he’s one of the best, if not best, scorers in all of Wisconsin. Over the past week, the guard had games with 41 points and 38 points.
Last week, Luke Ertel set the school record for scoring in a career at Mount Vernon. That was followed by a near triple double by the Purdue commit. Ertel had 24 points, 13 assists, and 9 rebounds.
Sophomore Ethan Vahl continues to put up big numbers. This included a near triple double with 33 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists plus 4 steals.
It has been a big couple of weeks of production from Xavier’s Logan Ramczyk. In this week, the junior scored 41 points in a game.
Not only did Jalen Brown pick up an offer during the week but also got it done one the court. This included a game with 33 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals for Wauwatosa West. In another game during the week, Brown had 32 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.
It was a big few days for Green Bay commit Henry Gruetzmacher. Not only did the senior post record a pair of double-doubles, but also scored his 1,000th career point. One of these double-doubles included 33 points and 18 rebounds.
Zavier Castillo added another notable performance to his remarkable senior season. This game included 34 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists in a win for Greendale.
Aurora Central Catholic was led to a win by junior guard Nick Czerak who had 31 points and 11 rebounds.
Keriwan Berry continues to add some stat stuffing performances on the season. This included a game with 32 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and a block for North Hardin. In his previous game, the senior recorded 35 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals.
As well to leading De Pere to a win with 37 points, junior Will Krueger also added in 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and a block.
DaKori Parker set South Bend Riley’s school record for threes made in a game. The junior hit 11 threes in the game while scoring 35 points. He also added in 5 rebounds and a pair of assists.
A pair of Wisconsin Lutheran players each shined in a win. This included junior Kager Knueppel with a career high 31 points while hitting five threes in addition to 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks. As well, Northern Iowa commit Zavier Zens added in 27 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocks.
In a game where Quinn Wesenberg scored a career high 33 points, the junior also hit the 1,000 point milestone.
