During the first half, Winnebago Lutheran was able to build a nine-point lead and then took a four point lead into the second half. The second half was a different story as it was all Beaver Dam behind the dominant play of EJ Salettel. Beaver Dam was able to go up by as many as nineteen and won it by a final score of 60-47.

Sam Ferguson – 2026 – F – Winnebago Lutheran

Ferguson is a physical 6’4” forward who plays with good energy. He especially stood out in the first half as he scored 9 points. He scored it posting up for a couple of baskets as well as powering his was to the basket just backing down defenders. Not only did he play with good toughness offensively but also on the defensive side. This included taking a charge, contesting everything inside, and forcing a couple of turnovers.

EJ Salettel – 2026 – G – Beaver Dam

After scoring on the first play of the game, the senior was somewhat limited in the first half with just 6 points. Though in the final thirteen minutes of the game, he put on a show scoring 21 points in this stretch to lead Beaver Dam to the win. He heated up at this point scoring on four straight possessions and had 16 points in just a five-minute stretch to get Beaver Dam up by 17 points and put the game away. Salettel showcased his great scoring ability getting it done in a variety of ways while creating for himself. He did hit a pair of threes in the win but scored it even better on the attack getting it done in the mid-range and around the paint. He was beating defenders both moving well with the ball as well with his physicality to get to his spots. Salettel scored a total of 27 points in the win.

Gannan Schwartz – 2026 – PG – Winnebago Lutheran

The standout senior season continued in this game for Schwartz. Even while battling early foul trouble and seeing double teams as well as being face guarded, he was still able to score 19 points. He got off to a very quick start in the game scoring his team’s first 7 points. Schwartz stood out whit his shot making from all over. He plays strong with the ball in his hands and shot it well off the dribble hitting a pair of threes as well to a mid-range jumper. His shot making included a step back three as well as a deep three off the dribble.

Ben Wittnebel – 2028 – SF – Beaver Dam

There continues to be so much to like about the game of the sophomore and his great upside. As well to his physical tools as he is 6’6” with great length but has also grown his offensive game. This was especially the case handling the ball and his shot making. Wittnebel was automatic in the mid-range hitting four pull up jumpers there. With his size and lift, he could not be stopped with his jumper. He was also aggressively attacking the basket to often get to the line hitting 6 free throws in the first half alone. In the win, the sophomore scored 17 points.
