It was Illinois versus Wisconsin with St. Ignatius taking on Marquette University. While St. Ignatius was able to hold a lead throughout the game, Marquette battled tough to stay in the game. They had their chances in the final minutes, but the talent of St. Ignatius was too much as they won this one 66-57 win.
Chris Bolte – 2026 – F – St. Ignatius
After a slow start to the game, Bolte was still able to score a game high 24 points in the win. He can truly beat defenders in so many with the combination of his well-rounded skills in addition to his physical tools. He is a 6’7” forward with a strong build but also showed his offensive tools in this game. Bolte can play inside and score it strong but also handle the ball and create off the dribble as well as shoot it from the outside. Bolte was tremendous scoring the ball throughout the second half with 17 second half points. In the game he hit a pair of threes but was also scored it effectively using his strength to power his way to the basket and score in posting up.
Luke Gundrum – 2026 – G – Marquette University
It was a stellar performance by Gundrum who consistently made key plays in this game. Not only did he lead Marquette with 18 points but also got it done with his distributing. Gundrum can really shoot the ball from the outside with a compact jumper and quick release spotting up. He hit three threes in the game including a pair down the stretch leading a comeback attempt to cut the deficit down to three. He also plays well on the attack as a skilled passer on the move. Throughout the game he was getting into the defense and finding shooters or cutters to collect 6 assists in the game.
Christian Miller – 2027 – G/F – Marquette University
Miller scored an efficient 16 points for Marquette. He is a 6’4” wing who uses his size well playing with good physicality. Whether getting the ball on the perimeter or in the mid-post, Miller played big as a straight-line driver or backing down defenders and finishing right over them. The junior also showed his ability to shoot it hitting a pair of threes in the final few minutes of the game.
Duke Ross – 2027 – SF – St. Ignatius
Ross continued his breakout junior season in this game as he has only continued to improve. In the win for St. Ignatius, Ross scored 16 points. Ross has consistently proven to be one of the better shooters in the areas 2027 class. He started the game quickly with St. Ignatius first five points and also started the second half hot hitting a three on the first possession of that half. In this game, Ross hit three threes. He is a lengthy wing forward with some size at 6’6”. He also made an impact with his energy on the glass rebounding it well.
