In addition to all the players mentioned in the game recaps from this past weekend’s When Sides Collide Shootout, there are several others worth mentioning.
Elijah Anderson – 2026 – PF – Bolingbrook
In the hard fought and tight game, Anderson scored an efficient 10 points as well to grabbing 7 rebounds and blocking a couple of shots. He is 6’7” in addition to having tremendous length as well to good mobility at his size. Anderson finished the ball well around the paint including on posts up and was also very active on the glass, especially the offensive side. The senior with his physical tools made a lot of plays throughout the game to be a high upside senior forward.
AJ Chambers – 2026 – PG – DePaul Prep
Chambers was a key piece in the win for DePaul Prep scoring 11 points while also dishing out 5 assists. This included a couple of big baskets in the third quarter to lead a run and grow the lead hitting a runner in the lane and a three off the dribble. The playmaking point guard plays smart with the ball in his hands seeing the floor well and also had a couple of key assists down the stretch. Chambers is committed to Michigan Tech.
TJ Tate – 2026 – PG – Marist
There are few players with the lightning quickness of Tate. With his quickness paired with tight handles and good moves, Tate was able to get all over the floor with the ball often getting deep into the paint throughout the game being so incredibly difficult to stick with. Tate was able to finish it around the paint and traffic as well as hit a mid-range pull up and also distribute it out.
Braylon Walker – 2026 – G – Warren Township
There is plenty to like from the game of Walker that was shown in this talent packed game as Walker continued his standout senior season. He has good positional size at 6’4” in the backcourt as well to a versatile game. Walker shoots it well off the dribble hitting a three being able to create his own shot but was also very effective in this game getting into the paint and finishing versus size plus getting to the line. The senior has also continued to prove to be a tough and versatile defender.
Denym Wallace – 2029 – PF – New Trier
Wallace has continued to show he’s one of the top freshman big men in Illinois and that continued in helping New Trier to the win. He already has good size standing at 6’7” with a solid build. He was extremely effective scoring the ball inside with 13 points in the game including on multiple strong post up moves. At his size he also moved well around the paint defensively to block a shot and contest several others.
