Mount Horeb and Lodi matched up at the Fiserv Forum as part of the Deer District Showcase. Mount Horeb got out to a quick start and was even able to build a double-digit lead in the first half. Though Lodi would not go away getting tremendous performances from their backcourt duo of Kale Schneider and Theo Traeder, and were able to tie it up in the second half. Though even without their start senior Josh Manchester, Mount Horeb was able to make enough plays down the stretch to come away with the 58-54 win.
Hayden Anderson – 2026 – F/C – Mount Horeb
The St. Thomas football commit showed his basketball ability in this game. He stands a 6’5” with a solid frame and plays with good physicality. Anderson scored 15 points in the win and showed his defensive ability playing very tough inside and but also moves well on the perimeter. The senior scored it strong in the paint including posting up as well as a couple of strong straight-line drives to the basket. Anderson also finished it strong finishing through multiple fouls.
Alex Chapman – 2027 – G/F – Mount Horeb
Chapman provided a clutch 19 points in the win for Mount Horeb. The 6’5” wing is a well-rounded junior who did much of his scoring with his jumper. Chapman hit three threes in the game included a key one with just four minutes to go in the game. His shooting also came through as he hit six free throws in the final thirty seconds of the game to seal the win. The versatility, size, and energy of Chapman also helped him make plenty of other plays leading to the win. This included a tough rebound that drawing a foul in the final thirty seconds, multiple offensive rebounds, saving the ball out of bounds, and getting a couple of steals.
Kale Schneider – 2027 – PG – Lodi
The 6’2” junior did everything he could in this one for Lodi. He was tremendous all game scoring the ball, leading all with 23 points. All game the 6’2” guard scored it very effectively going to the basket and finishing. He has good handle and moves well with the ball often beating his man. Schneider finished it very well around the paint on his drives, multiple times scoring it right through a 6’5” post at the basket as well as finishing on a put back in heavy traffic. His scoring continued throughout the game as even in the final minute, he scored on a pair of drives to the rim. The junior also hit a three in the game.
Theo Traeder – 2026 – SG – Lodi
Not only does Traeder have good size at 6’4” and length in the backcourt but also showed a good skill set too. He finished the game with 20 points but also showed a good passing ability. Much of his scoring came down the stretch with his outside shooting trying to mount a comeback. He hit a three with seven and a half minutes to play to tie it all up and hit another two threes in the game following that one. The senior also hit another three earlier in the game from NBA range. Trader also showed his ability to create for others seeing the floor well and knowing where to go with it to collect a few assists in the game.
