Jaxson Davis – 2027 – PG – Warren Township
Davis got out to a big start in this game scoring his team’s first 8 points. He kept on scoring it throughout to lead all with 28 points. Early on he was getting it done with his shot making ability. He shoots it so well from the outside with a great ability to create his own shot. In the game he hit five threes including a couple of step back threes. Later on in the game, much of his scoring was done on the attack. He moves so well with the ball and showed great body control around the paint finishing. The point guard is also a very skilled passer on the move. It’s easy to see why Davis is one of the top guards nationally in the 2027 class.
Colin Stack – 2026 – C – Benet
While Stack did score 11 points including a key 7 points in the second half including hitting a three and a dunk on the first play of the second half, his biggest contributions in the game came elsewhere. His play was highlighted by interior defensive play as well to his rebounding. He finished the game with 12 rebounds, as at 7’ along with his great length, Stack just grabs everything near him. As well with his physical tools, he makes every basket around the interior by Warren hard fought as he contested everything in the paint all game. Additionally, for a big man he passes it well and collected multiple assists in the game including a drive and kick out three.
Perry Tchiegne – 2027 – SG – Benet
The impact of Tchiegne cannot be overlooked in this victory of Benet. He finished the game with 10 points with some strong drives to the basket but impressed more with his defensive play. The junior showed the ability to be a high-level defender as he has a good blend of size at 6’4”, athleticism, strength, and energy to get all over opposing ball handlers being so tough to beat.
Jayden Wright – 2026 – PG – Benet
Wright brought his A game in this much needed and anticipated matchup. He was able to lead Benet in scoring with 21 points. Even while leading them in scoring, he also impressed with his ability to run the point and create for others. He operates so well in traffic with tight handle, maneuvering through heavy traffic as he does a good job changing speeds and absorbing contact. The Eastern Illinois commit was often getting into the paint and finishing at a high percentage but also hit a three and made several good passes.
