It was a matchup of two, one-loss teams with West Allis Central traveling to take on Brookfield East. Brookfield East was able to keep it close for the first 8 minutes of play but from there out it was all West Allis Central. Iowa State commit Yusef Gray had himself a star performance with 42 points to lead his team to the dominant 91-56 victory.

Yusef Gray – 2026 – PG – West Allis Central

Right off the opening tip just five seconds into the game, Gray started the game with a dunk and kept on scoring from there. He was simply unstoppable all game as he scored 42 points while getting it done in a variety of ways. The 6’5” guard is so tough to stop once he gets going to the basket and finished it extremely well there. He had multiple dunks in the game but also used the rim effectively to shield defenders and finish in heavy traffic. Gray also added in a couple of baskets posting up using his great positional size, hit shots in the mid-range, as well as a step back three. Even with his scoring outburst, the highly talented guard also made a great impact with his aggressive on ball defensive play including collecting multiple steals, creating for others, and rebounding it well as a guard.

Max Jones – 2027 – SG – West Allis Central

While Jones has been a strong and physical guard since his middle schools days, he has continued to add to his game. This was shown in this one with his outside shooting. Jones knocked down three threes in this win on his way to scoring 20 points. He was also key in the middle of the first half leading a run of his own. The 6’4” guard scored three straight buckets to build the lead out to 17 and put it out of reach.

Kevin Pittman – 2026 – C – West Allis Central

Even while not scoring it a ton, Pittman was still able to make his impact felt in the win. He is a true rim protector at 6’10” with his length and also has good mobility roaming the paint as well as being able to get to the perimeter to contest shots. The senior finished with 5 blocks in the game as well to shutting down the interior defensively. He also added in a pair of powerful dunks in the game with a put back slam and one off a cut.

TJ Platz – 2026 – SG – Brookfield East

The highly productive season continued in this game. Even while facing a team with multiple division one caliber guards, Platz was still able to score a team high 19 points. He shot it at a high percentage from the outside hitting a trio of threes. The 6’3” guard also scored it going strong to the basket as an aggressive straight-line driver and finished through contact. He also showed a well-rounded game with his ability to rebound versus plenty of size and distribute it out on the attack.
