It was a thrilling back and forth game between Middleton and Madison West. After Madison West was able to start the game 12-5, it was throughout following that including being tied at the half. It came down to the final seconds with Middleton being able to get a pair of free throws with just 2.7 seconds to play that were the difference in the 84-82 win.
Cormac Calson – 2028 – SG – Middleton
Coming off the bench, Carlson came in and made an immediate impact in the first half hitting a pair of threes. He also came up with a pair of crucial plays in the final minute leading to the win. This started with a defensive stop in the paint coming over in help. Then with just 2.7 seconds to play in a tied game, the guard knocked down a pair of game winning free throws. The guard also showed a good passing ability making a few impressive passes.
Quincy Mosely – 2026 – PG – Madison West
After recently scoring 39 points in a game, it was another impressive performance for Mosely. He scored an efficient 24 points on 10-14 shooting from the field. He also added in 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals. He is a playmaking point guard who maneuvers well with the ball slicing through traffic getting into the paint often. At his size, he finished it very effectively around the paint with his physicality and body control as well to hitting a pullup mid-range jumper.
Carter Parks – 2028 – F – Middleton
The impressive sophomore season continued in this win for Parks as he led Middleton with 21 points. He is a tough 6’3” forward with a good frame who can play big inside but also showed a versatile game including his scoring ability getting it done in a variety of ways. Parks hit a pair of threes in the game, a mid-range jumper, scored on a roll, had strong finishes inside, and had a clutch and one driving basket down the stretch.
Andrew Qastin – 2026 – PG – Middleton
After a slow start, Qastin hit a buzzer beating three to end the first half and kept that momentum going with a standout second half helping Middleton to the win. In the second half alone, Qastin scored 11 points as well to several assists. He is a quick point guard who changes his speeds effectively and made plenty of plays on the move with good vision, passing ability, and finishing.
Corvalis Stewart Jr. – 2028 – G – Madison West
It was a big-time performance by the sophomore who scored a game high 26 points as well to adding in 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. He showed a very well-rounded game with his ability to get to the basket, tough on ball defense, rebounding, create for others, and shoot it. The lengthy guard was at his best playing on the attack in this game doing the majority of his scoring getting all the way to the rim but also hit a three. By aggressively attacking the basket, he was able to get to the line often and make it count going 9-11. Stewart also made a key play with just over a minute to play with a steal and turned that into a transition basket for himself to tie the game up.
