A fair amount of recruitment news happening over the holidays. This is all in addition to a previously covered commitment of Evan Blankenship to Illinois Wesleyan.
Jalen Brown continues to be one of the most sought-after players from Wisconsin’s loaded 2027 class. The newest high major offer for the Wauwatosa West and Power 5 junior guard is from Minnesota. Among his other offers are Wisconsin, Indiana, Nebraska, Washington, and others.
The newest commitment out of Wisconsin came from Sam Richter. The senior guard of Hartford Union and Chapman Basketball Academy made his commitment to in-state Carroll University.
It has been a big few days for Carroll University as they also landed another commitment. This previous one came from senior guard Miles Okyne of Naperville North and Mercury Elite.
Another senior commitment came from AJ Berndt. The point guard of Cary Grove and Kessel Heat will be headed north with his commitment to Carthage College.
A player picking up their first division one offer was Charles Hardiman. The sophomore guard of Merrillville High School received it from Southern Utah.
Brimfield High School and MidPro Academy’s Dawson Traphagan was offered by Clarke University.
Maryville University has extended an offer to an in-state senior in forward Oliver Puljic of Summit High School and Arsenal Hoops.
Connor Kimme, a senior guard of Kaneland High School and Mercury Elite, was offered by nearby Aurora University. Concordia Wisconsin, Lakeland, and Carthage had also offered him recently back in the fall.
Another Indiana product receiving a division one offer was Mack Welker. The junior forward of Homestead High School and Indy Heat got his from Central Michigan. He also holds an offer from Purdue Fort Wayne.
Anthony Richardson, a 6’6” senior wing of Grandville High School and West Michigan Premier was offered by Cleary University.
University of Pikeville extended an offer out to Drew Smith, a senior guard of Blazer High School and Kentuckiana Hoops.
Jaron Upshaw, a senior guard of Michigan City High School, made his commitment to Calumet College of St. Joseph. They had just offered him a couple of weeks prior to the commitment.
Sandburg College extended an offer to Lakon Otto, a senior guard of Canton High School and MidPro Tri-State.
