It was a matchup of two of central Wisconsin’s top teams with Marshfield taking on Neenah. This game was tight for the majority including Neenah having a one-point lead at the half. In the second half, Marshfield was able to slowly pull away for the 57-45 win behind their senior star Chris Pohl.

Xavier Bezares – 2027 – G – Neenah

Bezares came off the bench into this game and made an immediate impact. In his first possession on the floor, the guard drilled a three. The junior showed a good shooting stroke in the game hitting a pair of threes as well to a mid-range jumper hitting his shots at a high percentage. Even while coming off the bench, he led Neenah with 15 points. Bezares also played with good energy on the defensive side on the ball in addition to being able to handle the ball and create for others on the attack.  

Ben Jordan – 2026 – F – Marshfield

Even while coming off the bench for Marshfield, Jordan made a huge impact in this breakout game. He scored 8 points, but his contributions went much great as the lengthy and high energy 6’5” forward did a bit of everything. This included his defensive versatility while showing his ability to defend the paint, perimeter, and in help all effectively. His energy showed in so many ways whether it was grabbing several offensive rebounds, diving on the floor to force a tie up, or coming all the way across the paint for a help block.

Chris Pohl – 2026 – F – Marshfield

Pohl just continues to get better in his high school career proving he is one of the top and most skilled forwards in the entire Midwest region. He had another sensational game leading all with 28 points getting Marshfield the win. Pohl is extremely talented on the offensive side and score it in numerous ways. The 6’8” forward can really shoot it from the outside hitting a trio of threes including a pair off the dribble and one near NBA range spotting up. He was also playing quick and agile off the dribble getting all the way to the basket in addition to scoring it on cuts and posting up. Pohl also showed his passing ability with a pair of full court passes beating the press down the stretch leading to points. The senior just has a tremendous blend of talents with his highly versatile offensive game, size, and agility. Pohl is committed to Wyoming.

Nick Schultz – 2026 – PG – Neenah

Schultz made a positive impact in a variety of ways in this game. This included his tough defensive play, running the point and distributing it, and scoring an efficient 9 points. Whether it was in the half court, the press, and just picking up full court, Schultz was playing energetic and tough defense all game making plays. This resulted in him grabbing three steals in the first half alone, two of which he turned into baskets of his own. He also showed his tough defensive play matching up against 6’6” forwards against this large Marshfield team too. Schultz also hit a three in the game as well to showing good vision on the attack as he was consistently looking to create for his teammates.
