As we move towards 2026, plenty of seniors fly off the board but there is still much talent still available. Here are five seniors who should be on more college coaches radars.

Kam Bean – 2026 – PG – Kalamazoo Central

Bean is an electric playmaker that needs to be on more college coaches’ radars. Throughout his grassroots season, he continued to play at a high level with the West Michigan Lakers showcasing his ability to play at the next level. This was especially the case during the summer where he averaged 20.3 points at the NY2LA Final Chapter. He is a quick attacking point guard with a good ability to get into the paint and create but also has good shot creating ability in addition to his playmaking on the defensive end.

Marcus Johnson – 2026 – PG – Sycamore

From his summer with Mercury Elite into his senior season, Johnson has continued to score the ball at an extremely high level. He was one of the top scorers on the NY2LA Association this summer which included averaging a staggering 30 points per game at the Final Chapter tournament. Now with Sycamore, Johnson has already had several 20 plus point games to start the season. While not a big name, few players in Illinois’ 2026 class can score it as well as him. He is an incredibly skilled shot maker while being able to create for himself.

Cooper Knowles – 2026 – F/C – West Hancock

There are few players in Illinois with an upside as high Knowles and remains one of the top available seniors in the state. Not only is he 6’10”, but has great length, mobility, and scoring ability. He has shown the ability to take over on both ends of the paint and started his senior season in a big way averaging 25.3 points, and 13 rebounds at the prestigious Kevin Brown Tournament of Champions. Knowles does have a few division one offers and should see more get involved with him.

Latrell Kelly – 2026 – G – Farragut

Whether it has been with AR Elite on the grassroots level or during high school with Farragut, Kelly has continued to score the ball at an exceptionally high rate. In just the past few days, Kelly has had games of 30 points followed by one with 31 points. He has consistently proven his ability to create for himself from all three levels as he moves so well with the ball ins hands as well to his shooting off the dribble. There are few players in Chicago right now putting up scoring totals like Kelly is.

Cooper Markee – 2026 – G/F – Whitnall

Markee showed a wide range of abilities during his grassroots season with Team Herro Spears and has taken than up a level in his senior season for Whitnall. In each of his three NY2LA tournaments this past season he averaged in double digits scoring including 19.3 points at Swish N’ Dish. More recently in his senior season, Markee had a game with 37 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals, as well to one with 24 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals, all in the past few days. A very good shooter, there is much more to like from Markee too. He has good positional size on the wings at 6’6” in addition to a well -rounded game.
