It was a sensational performance by senior forward Chris Pohl who led Marshfield to the 57-44 victory over Hudson. While Hudson stuck in the game for the majority of it, Marshfield was just too much down the stretch led by Pohl to pick up the 13 point win.

Ben Beucler – 2026 – G – Hudson

It was a very effective game for Beucler doing a bit of everything. As well to scoring 12 points, he was very effective on the glass as a guard with 6 rebounds in addition to playing some tough perimeter defense. Beucler was very efficient with his jump shot as he went 2-2 from three in addition to hitting a pair of fadeaway jumpers in the mid-range. He showed a good ability to get to his spots in the mid-range and use some physicality to create space and hit his shots.

Jace Mataczynski – 2026 – SG – Hudson

Mataczynski did everything he could in this one to keep it tight, especially down the stretch. Following a slow start, the senior had a standout second half to finish with 19 points but was also effective on the defensive side. He had three steals which he turned all into transition baskets himself and at 6’3” also played big defensively inside versus a large Marshfield front court. The guard showed a good ability to get to the basket and finish extremely well amongst size, but also got it done in with his jumper hitting a pair of threes and mid-range pullup jumper. While a skilled and impactful hoops player, he is also a star baseball player who is committed to Auburn.

Chris Pohl – 2026 – F – Marshfield

It was another dominant performance from Pohl as he led Marshfield to the win while scoring 29 points. The Wyoming commit was especially key down the stretch of the second half building the lead into double digits and sealing the win. In the second half he got hot from the outside, as he hit four threes in the game. Pohl has continued to show he is a knockdown shooter and tough to defend at 6’8” with his high release and shoots it quick off the catch. Much more than a shooter, Pohl is an incredibly versatile scorer with his blend of size, skills, and fluidness. He also was effective posting up, getting to the line, and on the attack.

Valin Ramberg – 2026 – F – Marshfield

As well to scoring a very efficient 9 points in the win, Ramberg did a bit of everything for his team. He has some size a 6’6” in addition to a versatile game. The senior forward battled tough in the paint for rebounds and defensively but was also a primary ball handler at times. When he had the opportunity, Ramberg scored it effectively attacking the basket. He can handle the ball and also uses his body well to get to the basket. Ramberg is committed to UW-La Crosse.
