Following a breakout grassroots season with MidPro Academy, the recruitment of 2025 guard Dietrich Richardson has continued to greatly grow. He had just received his first offer this summer only back in August. On a visit this weekend, he picked up an offer from a prominent program.

From this play during the spring and summer, he was named second team all-association on the 16U level of the NY2LA Association while helping MidPro capture the championship. With the growth of his game over the past year, Richardson has developed into one of the top 2025 prospects in all of Illinois.

The newest offer for the 6’6” guard of Peoria Manual High School came from Illinois. “It feels great,” Richardson said about receiving the offer from his in-state flagship school. The junior also has been offered by Bryant, Indiana State, Southern Illinois, UW-Green Bay, and Vanderbilt.

“The visit was very fun. I enjoyed the campus and coaches and the facilities,” Richardson said about his Saturday visit to Illinois. He had also taken a visit to another Big 10 program back in September making the trip to Iowa.

As well to all the new offers pouring in over the recent months, there are also plenty of new programs showing interest in him. Oklahoma, Utah State, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and Xavier are amongst some of the newest programs to be recruiting him this fall.
