After seeing some action as a freshman last season at West Allis Central High School (WI), the game of Kevin Pittman has continued to greatly grow. The 6’9” post took large steps over the past several months during his play with Phenom University.

Pittman was a big piece of the Phenom University team that was able to capture the 15U NY2LA Association championship back in July. The long and rangy big man had a very good grassroots season and has only continued to grow his game to be playing on another level at the recent NY2LA Futures Camp. With his dominant performance at the Futures Camp, he was named co-MVP at the 2026 level of the event.

Even while standing at 6’9”, the lengthy forward, center still moves well at his size. He covers plenty of ground defending the paint as well are running the floor hard. The sophomore is a true rim protector with all his tools being able to contest anything around the paint. Pittman is also a strong finisher around the basket in addition to showing a growing ability to put the ball on the floor and attack the basket. Part of his game that he is looking to improve upon are his strength and stamina. As well, “I want to be able to shoot the ball when it’s time for me to shoot,” Pittman stated about growing his game.

While it is early in the recruitment of the 2026 big man, he has already started to see some interest from some division one program. With the growth of his game, look for Pittman to have a highly impactful sophomore season and greatly see his recruitment build. For his upcoming high school season, he is looking to “dominate.”
