Over the past year, Elijah Lovemore has been one of the biggest stock risers in Illinois’ 2025 class. Following a stellar sophomore season at Bloom Township High School and continued great play during the spring and summer, the recruitment of the 6’4” point guard has continued to build. This includes some new offers in addition to plenty of visits over the fall.

During July, Lovemove received his first offer coming from UIC. Since then, he has also added offers from Bryant and Eastern Illinois over the summer with the most recent coming from Northern Illinois earlier this month. In just the past several weeks the junior has taken four college visits, going to Bradley, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, and UIC.

“My visit to Bradley was good. I came to watch their red and white game…I got some good one on one time with the head coach. They were very welcoming, and I had a really good feel of the campus,” Lovemore said.

“It was good watching their guys get after it and go hard,” he said about his trip to Northern Illinois. “They have great guard play. I didn’t really get to visit the campus, but their athletic facilities are amazing, and they play competitive basketball.”

“My visit to Northern Iowa was pretty good…They welcomed me with open arms as soon as I got to campus. The facilities are great. We visited the campus, it was pretty nice, I had fun.”

For his UIC visit, Lovemore said “Those are my guys. I’ve been there a couple times. I just went to watch practice though. They were getting after it, looks like they’re going to be pretty competitive in the Valley. I had a long conversation with Coach Yaklich that was nice.”

In addition to his offers and visits, there are plenty of other programs showing interest in him. Amongst those schools are Appalachian State, Cal, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia, Kent State, Marquette, Miami (OH), South Dakota, Stanford, UW-Milwaukee, and others.
