It has been a busy several weeks in the recruitment of Nick Allen. The 6’11” junior of Bradley-Bourbonnais and the Illinois Wolves has not only taken a few visits but has also seen his offer list continue to grow.
It wasn’t until June when Allen picked up his first offer, coming from Eastern Illinois. Since then, the big man has also added offers from Bryant, Illinois State, Northern Iowa, and Valparaiso. The most recent offer was from Illinois State this past weekend coming during a visit to the in-state school.
“It was a very good visit. I liked the coaches a lot, you can tell they’re doing I right at ISU,” Allen said about his Illinois State visit. As well, he has also taken visit to a pair of schools in Iowa recently. “Visit to Northern Iowa was also great. Very personal and I got to see the campus which was very nice also loved the coaches and staff.” Adding in on his other recent visit, “Iowa was a lot of fun. I got to watch the football game and go sideline for the start which was awesome to see. Coaches and facilities were great, loved to see the wave at the children’s hospital at the football game.”
One upcoming visit for Allen is Southern Illinois. Allen is a high energy rim running big man with great upside. At his size he is mobile and has some athleticism. He has great tough around the rim and his shown the ability to be a dominant rebounder. He is one of the top big men in the Midwest’s 2025 class.
