Players from the 2024 class continue to fly off the board. The most recent being Daniel Allen out of Kentucky. The 6’5” small forward of LaRue County High School and Moss Elite announced his commitment to Thomas More University on Thursday evening.

The recruitment for Allen really picked up following a breakout season with Moss Elite. During the spring and summer, he was one of the top forwards on the NY2LA Association at the 17U level. Following the grassroots season in August, Allen visits Thomas More and was then offered by the division two program. “I had a great time, and when I left, I knew it was the spot to be,” he said.

Allen chose Thomas More over offers from Alma College, Campbellsville, Lindsey Wilson, and College. There were a variety of factors that came into the senior’s decision for his college selection. “Loved the campus, had a good program for the degree I want to study, they have built a winning culture I want to be a part of and compete in.”

Thomas More is getting a skilled and energetic wing forward. He makes his biggest impact with his outside shooting but also has a versatile scoring ability. Before he heads to the in-state division two school next year, he has a few goals to finish off his high school career. Allen is looking to make it to the state tournament as well as “be the best teammate I can be for my teammates.”
