One of the top available players in Illinois’ 2024 class made their commitment on Wednesday. This was from Davis Bynum of East St. Louis High School and Team Ramey. The 6’8” wing made his commitment to Cal State Fullerton.

The senior chose Cal State Fullerton over his other finalist of Illinois State, Lindenwood, and Southern Illinois Edwardsville. Other schools to have offered him included Eastern Illinois and Valparaiso. While Bynum entered this June without a single scholarship offer, he became one of the fastest rising prospects in all of Illinois this summer.

Cal State Fullerton extended the offer to Bynum back in the end of June. He then visited the Fullerton campus at the end of July. “My visit went great,” Bynum said. “I saw everything I needed to see.” There were a few prominent factors that played a role in him choosing the Titans over his other offers including the coaching staff which he said were like family. As well he stated, “I loved the area and I know this will be a good fit for me.”

“I can see myself going there and playing the same way I do now just faster, stronger, and more explosive,” Bynum said about his future fit at Fullerton. With his blend of size and length, versatility on both ends, and skill set, look for Bynum to possibly be a highly impactful player during his freshman season.
