Over the past couple of years, Connor Roffers has continued to be one of the top 2024 players in both the NY2LA Association in addition to Wisconsin. Last year, the 6’5” wing guard was named honorable mention all NY2LA Association and followed that up with another strong season with MTXE. This past season as a junior at Burlington High School he averaged 16.7 points, 4 rebounds and 3.4 assists helping his team to a 20-6 season and being named first team all-conference.
Roffers has continued to excel with his shot making ability. Whether it be from the outside or pulling up in the mid-range, he shoots the ball at a high level. When asked about his game, he said “I can bring length at my position along with the skills of a guard with the height and strength to guard bigger guys which makes me able to guard one through four. I can also bring a balanced three level scoring ability to a team by being a threat in the three, mid-range, and finishing.”
With his high level of play over the past couple of years, his recruitment has continued to build. While he has yet to get his first scholarship offer, he has plenty of colleges showing interest in him from both the division one and two levels. Air Force, Bemidji State, Concordia St. Paul, Drury, Indianapolis, Newman, and St. Leo are the ones showing the most interest.
With Roffers alongside Ryan Meehan, Andrew Graf, Sean Ladwig, and others, the 2024 MTXE team found plenty of success on the season including a quarterfinals appearance at The Final Chapter. “My season went really good, we consistently finished highly amongst top teams in NY2LA live events and especially well finishing off going 6-0. We beat many top independent teams in a lot of great tournaments this year.”
