Nate Oats and Alabama landed a critical piece for their 2023 recruiting class on Friday when Kris Parker announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide. The 6’7” wing guard of Crossroads Academy and Team Breakdown picked Alabama over his other three finalist.
Parker had just announced his final four schools a few days ago. Alabama came out on top ahead of Missouri, UCF, and Villanova. He had also previously received scholarship offers from DePaul, Florida A&M, Florida State, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas State, LSU, NC State, Ole Miss, Robert Morris, St. John’s and others over the past couple of years.
The commitment comes after Parker took his official visit to Alabama back in September. Oats and staff had offered him last summer back in July. Parker has plenty of tools that should translate to the college level with his length, athleticism, defensive versatility, and shot making ability.
With Parker, Alabama is adding one of the last available top one hundred seniors in the nation to their 2023 recruitment class. Among the top one hundred players in the 2023 class, there are only a handful to still remain uncommitted. He marks the fourth commitment in their 2023 class. He joins wing Mouhamed Dioubate, point guard RJ Johnson, and forward Sam Walters in a class that will rank amongst the best in the SEC.
