The commitment comes after Owens took his official visit to Marquette just back in January. During his commitment announcement, Owens said “they treated me like family ever since I met then,” as a reason for his decision.

Other schools that had offered Owens included Alabama, Cincinnati, Creighton, Dayton, Siena, St. Bonaventure, UMass, UMBC, and Xavier.

As a top one hundred fifty ranked recruits in the 2024 class nationally, Owens marks a significant start for their 2024 recruitment class. He is a lengthy, versatile and energetic player that is one of the top two-way forwards in the junior class.
