On Sunday, Peter Lattos picked up his third offer and first from a division two school. This offer was from Northern Michigan University for the 6’8” senior forward of West Salem High School and Team FVV.

In addition to the offer from Northern Michigan, Lattos holds a pair of offers from NAIA programs. He was previously offered by Briar Cliff and Valley City State. In addition to the offers, a number of division two programs are interested in him including Concordia St. Paul, Northern State, Northwest Missouri State, and St. Cloud State.

There are different aspects Lattos likes in each of the three schools that has offered him. For his most recent offer, Lattos said “I really like the interest Northern Michigan has showed in me so far as they just offered after reaching out. I’m excited to learn more about their town, school, and basketball team.” For the two NAIA offers, Lattos said “I like the coaching staff at Valley City. I really like the offense, professors, and the town Briar Cliff is in.”

He has taken visits to both Briar Cliff and Valley City State already and plans on visiting Northern Michigan soon as well as some of the other schools showing interest in him. The two main things that Lattos is searching for in his future college is “good academics and a proven, winning basketball program.”

In his senior season, Lattos is averaging 15.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.8 blocks, and 1.6 steals per game. Behind the forwards play, West Salem is sitting at a near perfect record at a 20-1 record. After advancing all the way to the state championship game last season, Lattos is looking to win one additional game this year and a state championship to finish off his high school career.
