Rutgers just landed their highest ranked recruit in the history of its basketball program. Their overtime victory on Sunday versus Ohio State was not their only victory of the day. Following the game, they landed a commitment from highly touted junior Ace Bailey. Bailey, a 6’10” wing forward of McEachern High School in Georgia and Athletes of Tomorrow, is a five-star prospect and top ten ranked player nationally in the 2024 class.

Earlier this month, Bailey released a top twelve of schools. In addition to Rutgers, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Memphis, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia were included on the list.

Bailey is one of the highest upside players in the entire class. He has all the tools for the next level and beyond at 6’10” with his extremely high skill set, energetic play, and versatile game.

Under Head Coach Steve Pikiell, Rutgers recruiting classes have continued to greatly progress. They have a strong 2023 recruitment class headlined by four-star and top forty guard Gavin Griffiths in addition to point guard Jarmichael Davis. Davis is a teammate with Bailey at both McEachern High School as well as with Athletes of Tomorrow. Bailey marks the second commitment in the Scarlet Knights 2024 class already. He joins four-star point guard Dellquan Warren in a class that could end up being one of the best in the Big Ten as well as nationally.
